Highly recommend this establishment to all. One of the best I have visited on my 9 week European trip. The owners were absolutely amazing - trust me when I state that nothing was ever a problem. The pool - just what I wished for. The breakfast - gorgeous ! Felt like a five star establishment !!!

Makis Studios was a great location for our six night stay. It was quiet and the pool area was great. We had a car and there was free parking available. Wonderful.

Good location just off the main street in Skala. Up to date rooms, the property is very well kept. Friendly staff.

Uncomfortable beds, very hard and could feel the springs. Almost as they where designed to have a top mattress which was missing. Air condition only had on/off setting. So would wake upp freezing in the middle of the night and turn it off. Only to wake some hours later being to hot. They tried to charge extra for aircon. Resolved after taking it up with Booked.net's excellent customer service.

I liked my room which was at road level and overlooked the large pool and bar plus I also had a mountain view. The beds were comfortable and clean and the room had attractive fixtures and fittings. Also, good mesh mosquito barriers at the doors and windows. There is an attractive, well maintained garden approach to the main entrance. The accommodation looks very attractive when lit up at night. The accommodation is kept spotlessly clean with daily room and rubbish clearing, frequent sheet changes and big fluffy white towels. The pool and pool area are also cleaned daily. The staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend Makis Studios but do have to say that they are not in a good location for guests with any mobility and/or breathing problems as they are situated at the top of Skala village so the beach is ten minutes walk downhill but even longer coming back uphill! Also, depending on where your room is, there are steps to the pool and/or entrance although they are attractive and widely spaced.

I had to request a room change as the toilet in the allocated one was leaking and was not mended. I didn't like the different levels of the accommodation with all the steps.

We asked for a patio room with a sunny patio , which we were given. It was perfect for us with a toddler,who safely could walk out without falling down a balcony or fall into the pool. Despite being next to the pool,it is elevated ,out of quick reach. It was really quiet and empty around the pool,and bar/restaurant area which we loved.Easy 10 min walk to the beach and less to the main strip with shops and restaurants.There is a supermarket one block away which was handy for us.Excellent cleaning and clean towels and beds ever so often.well kept in all areas of the hotel.

The studio is more like a bedroom with a kitchette, I thought it would be bigger.Kitchen is minimally equipped but you are told to request anything else you need from the bar,which we didn't but did selfcater successfully for 2 weeks.

This hotel was a real winner for us. We chose it because it was not far from the beach and restaurants and had a pool - the hotel more than met our expectations with its quiet spot and lovely facilities. To our surprise, it was even nicer than the photos suggest: everything had been freshly painted, the kitchenette was comprehensive and the staff were absolutely fantastic. Poolside cocktails were great too!
